Set VRRP Owner E5400zl with K15.15 Software
Hi All,
I am trying to set VRRP Owner and Backups on a pair of E5400zl switches with Software version K15.15
When running the commands to create VRID on VLANs - when trying to specify OWNER or BACKUP I get a prompt to say the command has been depreciated. Owner/backup is determined based on virtual-IP address configuration.
I have looked around for guides and configuration examples for the new software version but cant seem to find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Re: Set VRRP Owner E5400zl with K15.15 Software
In VLAN config mode, I'd try typing the command below to see what options are available nowadays for setting VRRP priority:
vrrp ?

Re: Set VRRP Owner E5400zl with K15.15 Software
The "owner" is the VLAN interface where the virtual is set the same as the configured IP address.
Any VLAN interface with a configured IP address different from the virtual means it is a "backup".
If you have more than one "backup" then you should change the priorites on them so that only one is using the default priority of "100".
