VSF on HPE Aruba 2930F

Hello,

I plan to rebuild the entire IT infrastructure of the company, especially the switches.
I will opt for the Aruba 2930F 48 G + 4 SFP .
I plan to implement VCF between the 4 switches using SFP ports 51 and 52.

I have read the official documentation but I prefer to make sure with your help if my configuration is correct:

Switch 1:

vsf member 1 link 1 51
vsf member 1 link 1 52
vsf member 1 priority 160
vsf enable domain 5

Switch 2:

vsf member 2 link 1 51
vsf member 2 link 1 52
vsf member 2 priority 150
vsf enable domain 5

Switch 3:

vsf member 3 link 1 51
vsf member 3 link 1 52
vsf member 3 priority 140
vsf enable domain 5

Switch 4:

vsf member 4 link 1 51
vsf member 4 link 1 52
vsf member 4 priority 130
vsf enable domain 5

Ani idea for cabling ?

S1-51 --> S2-51 | S2-52 --> S3-52 | S3-51 --> S4-51 | S4-52 --> S1-52

Thanks for your help.

Re: VSF on HPE Aruba 2930F

Hi,

Config looks good if you have already re-numbered the member. If not then on each new member, configure one or more VSF links, then renumber the member, which will cause it to reboot.

#configure
#vsf member 1
#link 1 1/1/51
#link 1 1/1/52
#exit
#vsf renumber-to 2

Also enable split detection on the master.
configure
vsf split-detect mgmt
end

Cabling looks good for Ring Topology.

Thanks!
