Infrared port on HP omnibook xt6200
I'm trying to activiate the infrared port on my laptop... so I can connect with my mobile phone. When I go into the BIOS, enable the infrared port and save and exit, the PC just hangs, on reboot it is disabled again. I have updated to the lastest BIOS version but this still happens.

Re: Infrared port on HP omnibook xt6200
Matthew:
Try the following:
http://isupport2.hp.com/hpis/Solution.asp?id=edf84e5c-2718-46c0-9c38-fc31660ee47d
and http://isupport2.hp.com/hpis/Solution.asp?id=6975cc8b-ecdc-11d4-beb2-0090277257e4
Confirm that the BIOS is version 2.30:
Determining current version
Turn on the system.
When the HP Logo appears on the screen, press F2 to enter Setup.
Determine the BIOS revision number under the Main menu in Setup (example, BIOS Revision: EG.M1.60).
Once verified, either press F10 to Save and Exit, or arrow over to the Exit menu and select Save and Exit.
This will restart the system.
Good luck and Happy New Year!
Roger
