Any issues mixing bl460c G1 and G7 blades in same chassis?
Hello All,
Using C7000 OA FW at 3.21
VC Flex 10 Enet Modules FW at 3.17
VC 4GB FC Modules
We are running vsphere 4.0 U2 on these blades, and are looking at mixing the G1s and G7s in same chassis, clusters, EVC mode enabled...
Does anyone see any problems with that?
Thanks!

Re: Any issues mixing bl460c G1 and G7 blades in same chassis?
Hello,
we have similar enviroment with AMD blades - bl465cG1,G6,G7,bl685cG1,G5,G7 - no issue yet, just keep all blaeds fully updated - firmware etc. Ouf course, older blades do not have advantages of virtual connect, will work as regular 1Gb adapters.
Olso consider vmware EVC mode - your older blades not support newest modes, see kb.vmware.com/kb/1003212 and consider upgrade/transition to newer blades.

Re: Any issues mixing bl460c G1 and G7 blades in same chassis?
Works here.
I have BL460 G1 and G7s in the same chassis.
Using C7000 OA FW 3.10
Cisco 3020 switches
Brocade 4/24 SAN switches
They are running ESXi 4.1 (build 348481) at Core2 "Merom" EVC mode
