BL480c Smart Array P400i error 1783 lock up state
We have a new c7000 enclosure with 3 x BL480's in. We have upgraded to the 512MB BBWC kit for the p400i - these are installed.
Problem I get is on boot on all servers I get the error:
1783-Slot 0 Array controller is in a lock-up state due to a hardware configuration failure.
(Controller is disabled until the problem is resolved)
I have tried going through the first time setups and rebooting a few times with no luck. The blades are new to us so possibly missing something very straightforward, any help appreciated.

Re: BL480c Smart Array P400i error 1783 lock up state
Can you try replace the cache memory module?
take a look at the proliant servers troubleshooting guide:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00300504/c00300504.pdf
anyway, first try removing the controller, removing the cache memory and the battery. Then reseat cache memory and the battery and reseat the controller.
Hope this helps.
Diego.

Re: BL480c Smart Array P400i error 1783 lock up state
after going through taking the cache of and reseating previously i decided to revisit. Appears the problem was due to me being too careful and not putting enough force onto the cache module when installing.
