Blade BL685c G6 see 10 Network Connections

I got a C7000 blade enclosure. I am new to blades. Though i have configured the Network part for Full height blades (BL685c G6)by reading the pdf, i think something is missing. I can see 10 Network Connections inside one Blade and out of which two shows connected, rest shows no connectivity in link.
I have two Flex10 modules, out of which i have configured two ports each for one uplink set. Ports are configured to use only one vlan as of now. profile is assigned to Blade.
Please suggest how can i configure my enclosure so that i could only see desired NICs

In the blade Network Seetings Disable(Right Click, if you are running Windows) the NIC's you don't want to see.

Make sure you don't Disable the Connected ones.

How many network connections you have in the VC profile for that server ?

The FlexNICs will show up in Device Manager (on Windows) even if they're not configured in the VC Flex-10 module.

(Although I think you'd see 16 NICs, not 10; 8 for each dual-port embedded NIC.)

Re: Blade BL685c G6 see 10 Network Connections

BL685c has only two flex-NICs so total amount of NICs is 10
8 from flex
2 from other two port chip

Re: Blade BL685c G6 see 10 Network Connections

BL685c G6 has 2 dual-port NC532i NICs. That means there are 4 10Gb "pipes" on a BL685c G6.

FlexNICs that are not configured for Virtual Connect will show up in the OS as 4 Flex NICs each.

Because you configured 2 network connections in the Server Profile, LOM 1 and LOM 2 will only show up in the OS as 1 NIC each. LOM 3 and LOM 4, because they are not configured in VC will show up as 4 NICs each. That would give you a total of 10 NICs showing up in the OS.
