c-Class BladeSystem and SIM 5.1
Has anyone had any issues where SIM won't pickup the OA as a member of the c-Class enclosure? SNMP was set correctly, and we were running SIM 5.1. The only thing we did differently, was to upgrade SIM instead of a new install...

Re: c-Class BladeSystem and SIM 5.1
I'm experiencing a similar issue with an OA in a c-7000 enclosure. The OA system type is reported as "unknown" in SIM 5.1 and the rack/enclosure for the c-7000 are not discovered. I have a case opened with HP on this issue...though no resolution yet. I'm using OA 1.30 firmware. Have you resolved this problem?

Re: c-Class BladeSystem and SIM 5.1
Hi,
Can you check this
Go to Options->Protocol Settings->Gobal Protocol settings->uncheck https/http(if already checked),check the box again and apply.
Now go and re-identify the OA.This should work.
If this doesnt work then verify the following
1) https/http is enabled by doing the following
OA IP
enable https
-It should be enabled, if not please enable that.
2)type the following in your browser
http:///xmldata?item=all.
It should return a very lenghty xmlreply.
If the above two are verified, re-identify the OA.
It should work.

Re: c-Class BladeSystem and SIM 5.1
Same problem as second poster. The OA system type is reported as "unknown" in SIM 5.1 and the rack/enclosure for the c-7000 are not discovered. Tried the uncheck/recheck https option in the prot settings and readded, same problem. Anyone found a fix for this? Also noticed that all the OA not discovering properly are all in the same serial number sequence. OA that ARE discovering properly have different sequence.
