C3000 Blade Enclosure Incorrectly Reporting Faulty Fan
Hi
I have a C3000 Blade enclosure which occasionally reports that the fan in slot #5 is faulty - it reports this status for about 20 seconds or so and then goes back to normal operation.
The chassis is running firmware version 2.25
Has anyone else encountered a similar sort of error at all?
Cheers

Re: C3000 Blade Enclosure Incorrectly Reporting Faulty Fan
Is that the only fan that reports the failure #5?? Try to swap the fan to a different position and check if the error follows the fan, if it does might be a fan about to fail.

Re: C3000 Blade Enclosure Incorrectly Reporting Faulty Fan
Hi Marty
Did you get this issue resolved?
I have the same problem on a C3000 Chassis. We have already replaced the fan and also the mid plane assembly that the fan connects to, but the problem still happens.
The OA controller is running firmware version 2.50. I am going to upgrade to ver 2.51 (which is the latest).
Regards
Peter
