Does performing a reset for password recovery on the Onboard Administrator module affect running blades? (I'd like to recover the password but not at the expense of interrupting my Exchange servers. The documentation refers to the password being made available "as the system reboots", which sounds somewhat drastic.)

SolutionNo, it won't affect the running blades. However, resetting the OA may cause the chassis fans to temporarily go to 100% speed while the OA is restarting. This may be a bit disconcerting if you don't expect it... especially if you stand right behind the chassis at the time!
(Hmm... perhaps a "Caution: Jet Blast" sign would be appropriate for c7000 blade racks? :-)

Thanks, Matti. The password recovery went off without a hitch. ...Jim
