C7000 - Adding G9 blades to G7s already in enclosure

Hi. I am new in this blade system management. I hope you can help.

We already have G7's in the existing enclosure and wanted to add G9's. Is there any pre-requisiste that we need to do like enclosure firmware upgrade or virtual connect firmware upgrade before we can use the G9?

You are very wise to ask about compatibility. Updating firmware is a constant requirement for enclosure chassis, the blades, the interconnects, etc. Here is a document that covers the topic:

Essentially, once everything is compatible you can safely assume that something will have to be changed when adding a new component.
