Re: C7000 chassi unknown device in empty slot1

As I mentioned in my first post. Disabled the ebipa for server slots.

Well There will be an ip conflict on the network but this wouldn't happen. Of that i'm sure.

Re: C7000 chassi unknown device in empty slot1

We had a similar issue, however in our case adding a blade to the slot (8) sometimes was recognized, sometimes was not.

We had HP install a new midplane and did not see the issue again.

good luck

Re: C7000 chassi unknown device in empty slot1

hi Cederbeg i have seen this 3 times only

one solution that fixed it was swapping the active oa and the redundant ones so they took each others slots.

On another enclosure downgrading firmware with only one oa in then reseating it and upgrading firmware and reseating again worked.

another time when this did not work a backplane was called for.

post back would like to know..if it works,

goodluck..:)

Re: C7000 chassi unknown device in empty slot1

Hey.

HP has exchanged our backplane in the chassi. It didn't help. We will try to change to OA sleve this afternoon to see if that has any effect on the problem.

Hey.

We changed to OA Sleeve and that turned out to be the solution here.

Thanks everybody for your input.
