C7000 Enclosure Insight Display Frozen.
Hi,
We have a C7000 Blade Enclosure containing 16 x BL460c G1's.
The Insight Display is multi-coloured with highlighted segments in different colours and multiple errors are logged.
However the display will not respond and we are looking for a way of accessing it again?
A Mid plane issue has been suggested.
Has anyone come across the same problem?

Re: C7000 Enclosure Insight Display Frozen.
As the Insight Display does not respond it is possible that the issue is with the Insight Display itself. Please refer to page 19/108 of the HP BladeSystem c-Class Enclosure Troubleshooting Guide for further troubleshooting
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01215727/c01215727.pdf
If the issue is not resolved on above troubleshooting steps, then the Insight Display itself may require replacement.
Regards,
Vijayasarathy

Re: C7000 Enclosure Insight Display Frozen.
Hi Vijayasarathy,
Thanks for the prompt feed back.
I don't think the problem is with the insight display as we also have a problem where once a blade is powered off it cannot be powered back on?
Regards,
Colin.

Re: C7000 Enclosure Insight Display Frozen.
What do you see when you login through the OA and have you tried to control the Insight Display from there?

Re: C7000 Enclosure Insight Display Frozen.
Yes we can access the insight display.
When you show the faults it logs all the enclosure power supplies as "Failed".
A similar fault on another C7000 enclosure was fixed by replacing the mid plane.

Re: C7000 Enclosure Insight Display Frozen.
I've had the same problem, and it required midplane assembly replacement.

Re: C7000 Enclosure Insight Display Frozen.
We fixed the problem. It ended up being the sleeve assembly which the two OA's sit inside.
One to remember as doesn't require outage to replace.
