C7000 Enclosure with 2 separate LANs

Hi,

I have a c7000 blade enclosure, with 4 network switches (Cisco 3020 series).
I don't know and didn't find on internet how can I setup the enclosure to connect some of my blade systems only at 2 switches (interconnect bays 1 and 2) and the other blades only at the last 2 switches (interconnect bays 3 and 4).

Thanks,
George

Re: C7000 Enclosure with 2 separate LANs

All servers will be connected to switches 1 & 2. The only way you can stop some blades using these switches is by configuring the Cisco switchs. You have to do the same for switches 3 & 4..... or dont put the expansion NIC in the servers that dont need connection to switch 3 & 4.

I've hoped to find a solution to disable the connection between blades and switches from the enclosure backplane.

Many Thanks for your answers,

Re: C7000 Enclosure with 2 separate LANs

Signal midplane is a passive component so You can't change the signal routing. But You could disable unwanted NICs from server BIOS.
