Has anyone seen any issues with intermittent connectivity from blades running Windows or Linux on the HP 1Gb Ethernet Pass-Thru Modules. I have seen two instances where we had to have the pass-thru's replaced because ports were supposedly bad...

Just a thought. The passthru modules only operate at 1G, they cannot negotiate speed or duplex with external switch ports. So will not work well with 10/100 ports.

Just mentioning this because I have seen similar posts, no insult intended.

No worries...all of our port speeds are set to either 1000/full or Auto/Auto. Is there a preference? My main purpose for this thread was to see if anyone else had to replace "bad" pass-thru modules. Thanks

Could be a defective pass thru module, please call to HP support and provide show all report, also provide serial number, it will help to determine defective module.

You can also update the FW on the pass thru module using the command update device.
