c7000 with two Cisco MDS 9124e switch Configuration

Hi all,

We are setting up a new c7000 chassis with two Cisco MDS 9124e SAN switches. So question, can we setup the two switches for redundancy? If so, how?

Or does it just get multiple paths between the two switches (Port 1 on the mezzanines connected to switch 1 and port 2 connected to switch 2) that makes a redundant and higher performance configuration?

Both switches will be connected (two-ported port channel) to are main MDS 9124 switch and the rest of the fabric.

Thanks for your time and help.

You cant do anything to the switches to make them redundant. You do make SAN connectivity redundant by having two paths and a switch on each.
And they are pathed as you say above. Port 1 on each server goes to switch 1 and 2 to switch 2.
