Can't access brocadeswitch with management console

I have OA fw 3.11 and Brocadeswitch AJ822A Fabos Version 6.4.1a and i have give the switches management addresses via EBIPA. The problem is that they got the address 0.0.3.0 if i look at the Management URL for the interconnect bays. I can't access the switch with managementconsole but with telnet it works fine and the switches got the right management address configured in EBIPA. With brocadeswitch AE370A there is no problem with this issue.

SSH to OA
connect interconnect [bay number]
log in to switch
ipaddrset

Yes check the Ip setting of the switch.
For the switch to take the IP from the OA, it must be set DHCP, and you must have a IP set in the EBIPA.

I'm seeing the same issue, at a customer.
That want to use fixed IP on the SAN switch.
It was set for DHCP on the switch, and No IP on the EBIPA.

rebooting the OA, doesn't fix the problem.
Get IP setting correct on the switch and EBIPA, then try reboot the switch.
We have not tried reboot the switch yet. o I don't know if it will work.

Re: Can't access brocadeswitch with management console

Switch is set to DHCP and it has the ipaddress configured in the EBIPA setting so there is no problem to access it with TELNET.

But when i won't to access it with the managementconsole i got the following ipadress in the explorer window 0.0.3.0 and i got no connection to the switch. This problems only occure with 8 G switches.

It look as follow in the GUI
Fibre Channel http://0.0.3.0 HP 8/24c SAN Switch Pwr Pk+ BladeSystem c-Class

Re: Can't access brocadeswitch with management console

Hi,

i have the same problem. The EBIPA Address is given to the switch, i can open the switch via browser, ssh, telnet, but if i try it with the oa -> Interconnect Bay -> HP b-series -> Management Console -> then it will open http://0.0.3.0/ . . .

OA FW: 3.21
FabOS: v6.4.0b

Any idea?

Re: Can't access brocadeswitch with management console

I've only seen this happen on Cisco switches... where the management link is not displayed properly.

It usually had to do with the IP address of the device.

Are the brocade Switch IP's on thesame subnet as the OA?

Are there DNS settings in the EBIPA config? If so, try removing the DNS entries.

Re: Can't access brocadeswitch with management console

The brocade Switch is on the same IP's subnet as the OA?

I have removed the DNS entries but it is the same result.

Same issue here. Just reboot the switch and it's ok.
