I created a network on a virtual connect domain with 4 modules, stacking and redundancy.
My problem is that I can't connect it to an uplink port. The pulldown menu lists the ports as connected, but won't assign it to my network.
->show network
=======================================================================
Name Status Shared VLAN ID Native Private Preferred
Uplink Set VLAN Speed
=======================================================================
VLAN80 OK -- -- -- -- Disabled Disabled Auto
->
->show stackinglink
Connection Status : OK
Redundancy Status : OK
===========================================
Link Speed Connected From Connected To
===========================================
1 10Gb enc0:1:X0 enc0:2:X0
2 10Gb enc0:1:X1 enc0:5:X1
3 10Gb enc0:2:X1 enc0:6:X1
4 10Gb enc0:5:X0 enc0:6:X0
->show uplinkport
================================================================
ID Enclosure Status Type Speed Used By
================================================================
enc0:1:1 OA-001CC4152887 Linked (1Gb) RJ45 Auto -- --
enc0:6:1 OA-001CC4152887 Linked (1Gb) RJ45 Auto -- --
Via lldp the switch at the other end sees the VC connect swithces.
gscm290013# show lldp info remote
LLDP Remote Devices Information
LocalPort | ChassisId PortId PortDescr SysName
--------- + ------------------------- ------ --------- ----------------------
1 | 00 1f 29 d0 3d a3 1 VcD_3685f95052b6
The uplink is conected to an untagged HP switch port in vlan80.
-> set uplinkport enc0:1:1 Network=VLAN80 Role=Primary
SUCCESS: Port modified : enc0:1:1
Even though the command says "success" it doesn't really assign the port to the network? It doesn't work via the GUI or command line.

Re: Can't add uplink port to network on virtual connect
Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give that a go.

Re: Can't add uplink port to network on virtual connect
Yes, using firefox instead of ie8 worked. I don't know why using the CLI didn't work for me. I'll pursue that answer when I get some time.
