Can't ping from one blade server to other

Hello,

I'm newbie in blade systems. I have 5 blade servers, which are one same subnet.
I've found out, that I can ping from from server1 to server2, but vice versa not. Ping from serve 1 to server 4 is good. Ping from server1 to server5
has a lot of faults.
I have two GBE2 switches and I use default configuration. So all ports are on the same Vlan(default).

Many thanks,

Branislav

Hi Branislav,

If they are on the same Subnet and default vlan you should be able to ping server1 to server5.

you mention lot of faults? is it timeout or loosing packets?

Check the Network on the server 5?
Try to check if the problem is server specific.

They are p-Class or c-Class blades? If they are c-Class they have NC373i multifunction cards, and there are strange problems with TOE on those cards. Try disabling it.
