Cant Define SAN Fabric from Virtual Connect

Hi,

I'm having issues whereby I cant define SAN Fabric from Virtual Connect Manager (grayed out). If I click the Interconnect Bays under Hardware Overview on the left, it shows that both Bay 3 and Bay 4 which have the "Brocade 4/12 SAN Switch for HP c-Class BladeSystem" in an Unmanaged state. How should I go about enabling this?

Hi Wan,

you cannot manage a Brocade SAN switch with the VC Manager. With VCM (running on a VC Ethernet module) is only able to manage "HP 4/8Gb Virtual Connect Fibre Channel Modules".

Go to http://172.27.30.101 and define your SAN fabrics directly on the switch.

correct - i must be sleeping while typing, cause i patched our switches just on monday with 6.2.2c :-S
