CBS 3120x in bay 1 and HP 1GB passthrough module in bay 2
Will this work ?
Basically we have several c7000 chassis and I am trying to plan out if it will work putting
Cisco Catalyst Blade swith 3120x in Bay #1
and
HP 1Gb Ethernet Pass-Thru Module for c-Class BladeSystem in Bay #2
Or would I have to get some mezzanine NIC cards for the blades and move the passthrough down to Bay#3 ?

Also wanted to note tghat I have been scouring through the white papers and setup guides and unless I missed it I can't find a clear answer to this question.

Re: CBS 3120x in bay 1 and HP 1GB passthrough module in bay 2
I don't see why it would not work, as you can use the same I/O modules in the smaller c3000 chassis. In the c3000, I/O module bay 1 is connected to the integrated NICs, and slot 2 to the mezzanine card slots. So if the I/O module works in a c3000, it must have the capability to stand alone, as the mezzanine slots may be unpopulated, or populated with storage cards requiring FC or SAS I/O modules in the other slots.
Of course, with the passthrough module in bay 2, any internal stacking links between the bays 1 and 2 will obviously be inoperative.
