Change VC domain IP with VCEM

I'm trying to change the VC domain IP but when I do VCEM is no longer able to manage the domain.
Here is what I did:
1. Put VC domain in maintenance mode from VCEM.
2. Log into VC module 1 and change domain IP.
3. Remove the VC domain from VCEM domain group.
4. Try to run a SIM discovery against the new domain IP.

My problem is with step 4. The VC domain isn't discovered at the new IP even though I can log into it. Thus VCEM displays an unmanged VC domain with the old IP address.
