Cisco MDS5000 and HP B22 Fabric Extender

 

I have a customer who has installed a couple of BL490c G7 servers into an existing C7000. They are connecting to a Cisco MDS5000. And purchased a B22 Fabric Extender (641146-B21). And they are being told that the extender doesn't support 10G. And that it won't for the next 2-3 months until a firmware update is available.

 

 

Is this true? Is there a quicker fix?

MDS5000 or Nexus5000?

 

B22 FEX can only connect up to Nexus5000. G7 server side 10g NIC is supported.
