ESX on c7000, BL460c blade servers, 6G SAS switches, D6000 disk enclosure.
Does anyone have a working ESXi 5.5 farm in an HP c7000 enclosure using an attached D6000 storage array?
If so, can you please share the configuration?
I’m looking for a working design that fits the following environment, for use with ESXi 5.5. It exists in an HPE client’s environment.
The available hardware is:
- 1 x c7000, with:
- 4 x HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24 port modules.
- 2 x HP 6Gb SAS BL Switches, with Multi-initiator enabled.
- 4 x BL460c Gen8 with:
- 2 x E5-2660 Intel CPUs.
- 256 GB memory.
- 2 x 300 GB RAID 1 drives.
- FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 554FLB adapter.
- Mezz 1: FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 554M adapter.
- Mezz 2: Smart Array P721m/2G storage controller.
- 1 x D6000 with:
- 70 x 2 TB SAS drives, with 31 unused drives each drawer.
