FC passthrough support with BL460c Gen9, 16Gb FC card
i need to verify if the 16Gb FC Mezz cards will work with 4Gb FC passthrough interconnect in a C7000 enclosure. the quick spec does not list it. however, QS does not list many things!
Anyone knows?

Re: FC passthrough support with BL460c Gen9, 16Gb FC card
Hello,
While I can't adress your issue specifically, I can relate my experence with 4GB FC pass-thru's and 8/40 port SAN switches. We had ordered BL460cG7 Blades with 8GB Qlogic HBA Mezzanine cards. Using these Blades, and connecting through 4 GB passthrus to 8 GB switches, and using Bseries SFP's (2,4,8GB) the link would only auto connect to 4GB. If we set the switch port to 8GB, the servers would not login to fabric.
Our solution was to purchase 8/24 port SAN switches for the 4GB passthrus. The limiting factor was the 4GB passthru.
Regards,
Louis
