Re: Flex-10 servers suddenly missing NICs after 2.31 upgrade

In our case the problem as I remembered it was not actually flex-10, it was Xen-server itself!
We were running the free version without HA-capabilites.
The Xen cluster does not work unless you reboot the server in a specific order. One of them is "master", and if a server boots and can't find the master, it will not automatically make a re-election. You have to make sure that the master is up and reachable, or force a re-election. Something like that. :)
The wierd thing is that Xen makes the NICs unuseable until it finds its master. Without NICs, how can it find the master? It can't!!
Go figure, or buy the version of Xen that has High Avaiability, then it will work by itself.

Kind Regards,
Magnus
