How to see HPUX 11V3 installation DVD on a new BL860c

Hi,
I have a new bl860c in a c7000 rack for HPUX 11.31 installation. I have connected virtual media thru iLo but I still can not see DVD from "virtual console".

what have I done so far?

BL860c is powered on.

1.Connected DVD drive with OS DVD to the serial port.

2. In iLo, brought up "virtual media", selected G: drive and connected the media.

3.started "virtual console"

When I run "map" command from virtual Console (EFI shell), I do not see fs0: or files on G:


How do I see files from G: drive to run HPUX installation programs from that DVD?

Do you use virtual media or a real DVD drive, this is not clear:

However, either power cycle the blade or do this from EFI

# reconnect -r

# map -r

Hi torsten,
I am using virtual media.

DVD Drive is connected to serial port on the enclosure and I virtually mounted it.

I will try the commands you suggested.

It was a case bad media.

I used a new set of installation media and all worked fine.
