HP BL460c G6

Hello,
I replaced my old blades who are HP BL460c G1.
I have 2 new blades HP BL460c G6 and I installed ESX 3.5 U4.
The enclosure is BladeSystem c7000 with firwmare 2.52 Jul 21 2009.
For my blades ProLiant BL460c G6
- Rom version I24 10/01/2009
- iLo Model : iLO2
- iLO Firmware Version : 1.79 Aug 28 2009
- Power Management Controller Version : 3.4

On the first blade the vmnic0 is down and others nics are up. The second blade all nics are up but I can't ping other blades.

Have you an idea?

Not sure about your configuration, if you have VC or not and if your problem is with physical or virtual NICs ... but the firmware you listed is very old - consider to update them all (including OA)!

On the Onboard Administrator the Embedded Ethernet Nics are Ok, it's on vmware that one of us is down.
Do you think that my problem is because the firmware is too old?

What is the best way, to update the c7000 firwmare first or the blades rom version?

I would first update the OA to 3.11; then using the smartstart firmware update DVD all components of the blades. Also check the components at the rear side (switches etc.).

Look up your blade at hp.com drivers section and you will find everything you need.
