hp C7000 AND HPvc 8GB 20port fc module

I am sort of new to the HP blade chassis. We just added HP vc 8GB 20port fc modules to a chassis that has 2 cisco 3120x blades switches in it.

My issue is the HP vc 8GB 20port fc modules are not mapping ports to blades. We updated the chassis firmware and the fc modules are on the latest. For the life of me I cant figure out how to map port to each blade server. My onboard admin on port mapping for the FC's are shoowing not connected.

Is their anything more I have to todo to get these modules to connect ports to the blade servers?

As far as I can remember, you can not configure the VC-FC module without having a VC-ENet module in the chassis as well.

The VC Modules get configured though the Virtual Connect Manager or Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager.

The VCM only runs on an Ethernet module. The VCEM is software based management, but I believe it still needs to have an Ethernet module in the configuration.

Correct Steven.

The VC-FC do require VC-Ethernet.
The VC manager is in the VC-Eth. modules.

The VC-FC require a NPIV port on the uplinks also.
