I/O Mismatch after OA firmware upgrade.

I just upgraded my OA firmware from 3.00 to 3.21. After the upgrade I got a warning message saying that I/O mismatch on Device Bay 13 and on Interconnect Bays 5 and 6 which are both Cisco 3020s. The blade in device bay 13 is a BL495c G6. The reason it thinks is mismatched is because its mapping mezz slot 2, which is a smart array card to the cisco switches. i didn't get this error before the upgrade and everything worked fine. Is there anyway to unmap the interconnects just for this server? Any suggestions?

You need to remove this smart array from mezz slot 2.

I need the smart array controller. Mezz slot 1 is for fiber channel and there is no onboard array controller.

As I know, Smart arrays are never mapped somewhere to Interconnect bay. What card do you have?

Its a Smart Array P712m.

I'm going to update the firmware and the support pack today to see if that helps.

Sorry, I thought that you have P700m. Your P712m is used for internal disks only, and shouldn't play with iterconnects.

I recommend to update firmware:
1) BL495c G6 BIOS - to ver. 2009.12.09
2) BL495c G6 iLO2 - to ver. 2.05
3) P712m - to ver. 3.66

Do u have any Network Card installed in Mezz 2 on remaining servers.If no then u need to remove the Switches itself if u have no choice to remove the Smart array mezz card.

Also report to HP about this, so that they may correct in next revisions.

As a general rules by OA, there should be same type of Mezz cards in all servers populated in the same enclosure

I upgraded the firmware and am still receiving the error.

I reseated the blade in a different slot and that cleared the error.
