We have 2 x C7000 blade systemes with different Blade servers with different ilo fw. We are going to upgrade both OA fw and ilo fw on each server.
Should we do the OA first or the ilo?

Re: ILO upgrade on bladeserver and OA fw upgrade
To upgrade the BIOS, the server will need to be restarted.
Download the correct BIOS level for your blade server, put it on a USB stick plug it into the front of the server using the 3-way HP cable and restart the server.
Takes around 2 minutes to upgrade the BIOS.

Re: ILO upgrade on bladeserver and OA fw upgrade
No.
The most convenient way to update server firmware (include BIOS) is to use
HP BladeSystem Firmware Deployment Tool
http://tinyurl.com/lb5tph
or HP BladeSystem Online Firmware Bundle for Windows
http://tinyurl.com/kr3d58
In this way you can update server BIOS, iLO, SmartArray, NIC firmware on server from one place
HP BladeSystem Online Firmware Bundle you can run from Windows, in order to run HP BladeSystem Firmware Deployment Tool you need to boot server with iLO
