Re: Installation of RedHat Linux on HP Blade 460
Its same on any other servers. only thing is you need to configure iLO before.
Installing BL 460 in the enclosure refer to below link:
http://bizsupport.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00700777/c00700777.pdf
Login to the Onboard Administrator do the initial configuration of ILO.
Insert the first Linux CD or DVD into the drive. Alternatively, if using virtual media, attach the CD, DVD or ISO image using ILO, and then boot the server.
You can use the enclosure DVD if you are on c3000 enclosure.
Follow the on screen installation instructions.

Installing Linux on HP ProLiant servers
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00449210/c00449210.pdf
Check that the RedHat version you're going to install is on the list of supported OS:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3288156тМй=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1842750&taskId=135
And do not forget to install Proliant Support Pack after finishing OS installation.

Re: Installation of RedHat Linux on HP Blade 460
Each blade has one network port and one FC port connected to each switch (to provide redundancy)
By default the switches have no VLANs or zones configured to you can access all servers from any external port.
