New Power Supply and old enclosure compatibility.

Thanks for your attention to this email.

The enquiry is regarding a 412152-B22 HP BLc7000 CTO Enclosure, which is at customer site.

Customer wants to purchase additional power supplies to fully populate his enclosure.

Upon checking, his enclosure has HP c7000 Enclosure Hot-Plug Power Supply Option Kit 412138-B21 which is no longer orderable.

Can the new 499243-B21 be officially supported / used for the older enclosure?

The OA firmware release history for OA v3.21 indicates the following OA versions introduced support for the newer c7000 AC power supplies:

OA v2.32 introduced support for the HP 2400W High Efficiency Power Supply           499243-B21

OA v3.00 introduced support for the HP 2400W Platinum Power Supply                      588603-B21

All the c7000 AC power supplies are compatible with all versions of the c7000 enclosure – however you must have matching power supply models in each enclosure.
