Power Supply Status Unknown
I'm getting this error message sent from our OnBoard Administrator for our C-Class blades.
It has come several times and I can't find anymore information on it to identify the problem. We do have dynamic power enabled, so I assumed once a supply went into power save mode maybe it sent this? The email is below, any help would be appreciated!
EVENT (05 Oct 05:22): Power Supply #6 Status has changed to: Unknown.
Enclosure, "1", has detected that a power supply in bay 6 has changed from status OK to Unknown.
Onboard Administrator URL: https://172.19.118.129/

Re: Power Supply Status Unknown
If you are using the latest firmware.
can you execute this command in Command Line interface. "update show tray".
what is the tray version you are seeing in that.
If the Version doesn't match New Version execute the command.
"update device tray"

Re: Power Supply Status Unknown
The version of OA is 2.02
Where would I find the Command Line Interface?
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Power Supply Status Unknown
You have to do a Telnet or SSH to the OA.
use utility Putty or Windows Command line interface.
Start --> Run --> cmd --> Telnet " OA IP"

Re: Power Supply Status Unknown
Is it always Power supply 6.
sometimes you see this issue if the power
supply is overheated. it will automatically shut sown and come back.
Can you see in the syslog for the Time difference between when it goes to Unknown and comes back as OK.
If it is within a minute ..then you may be right that it is due to Dynamic Power saving Switching. or it may be a heating issue.

Re: Power Supply Status Unknown
I run the 'update show tray' command. It shows version 1.2. Should this match the OA? What is the latest tray version, and where do I find the update? I am familiar with updating the OA firmware.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Power Supply Status Unknown
This is the power Pic Firmware.
No it should not match with the OA. OA firmware is different and the Powersupply PIC Firmware is different.
The latest version of the Power PIC is 1.2.
OA firmware always contains the latest firmware for all the components EX: FAN, Power supply and LCD Display.
you can refer to help of the command "Update show" and "Update Device All" for more details.

Raghuarch
