powering off p-class and c-class enclosures

Does anyone know the proper procedure for completely powering off the blade enclosures? Our building is having a planned power outage. After powering the servers down, is there a way to power down the enclosures other than yanking the cables out of the power supplies?

No there is no way after Shutting down the blades. You can Power off the interconnect modules. Then you need to remove the cables from the Power supplies.

I am assuming that reversing the steps is the proper way to power it back on. Would that be correct and is there any caveats?

Re: powering off p-class and c-class enclosures

If you have a scalable bus bar (at least available with p-Class), there are two power switches for each server shelf where you can power down the entire shelf.

If you don't have this scalable bus bar, you need to unplug the main power as mentioned already.
