ProLiant BL460c G1 reboots

I have a ProLiant BL4600c G1 with Windows 2008 sp1 64 bit server installed.

Drivers, win updates and firmware up to date.
I got spontaneous reboots on the machine with just this in the EML;
Network 11/09/2009 07:37 11/09/2009 07:37 1 Network Adapter Link Down (Slot 0, Port 4)
ASR 11/11/2009 15:09 11/11/2009 15:09 1 ASR Detected by System ROM
Network 11/11/2009 15:12 11/11/2009 15:12 1 Network Adapter Link Down (Slot 0, Port 4)

Any ideas.
Do you need some more information?

Re: ProLiant BL460c G1 reboots

Try turning off ASR in the BIOS (F9) and see if the machine eventually locks up on you.

ASR attempts to bring a hung server back to life by hitting the virtual reset button, so your server might be hanging and ASR is correctly identifying the hang, or ASR might be whacked out of its gourd and is bouncing your machine because it THINKS its hung.

If you turn it off and monitor the machine closely, and it eventually hangs, then ASR was doing its job and you need to fix something inside the OS.

Re: ProLiant BL460c G1 reboots

There is an issue at least with latest ILO fw and OS driver for ILO in Windows. Double check that You have latest ILO drivers in your OS.

I thought the HP Smart Update Manager did that work for me.
