Hi,
I have a full height BL685c blade server in a c7000 chassis. The server has Mezz Slot 1 populated with an FC HBA Card and Mezz Slot 2 populated with a NC325m Quad Port 1gb NIC card.
The question I have relates to port mapping. At this time our chassis has pass-through modules installed and looks like this....
Bay 1 - Ethernet Pass-Throuh
Bay 2 - Ethernet Pass-Throuh
Bay 3 - Fibre Channel Pass-Throuh
Bay 4 - Fibre Channel Pass-Throuh
Bay 5 - Ethernet Pass-Throuh
Bay 6 - Ethernet Pass-Throuh
Bay 7 - Empty
Bay 8 - Empty
The full height blade is mapped out as seen in the attached screen shot.
The question I have is, do I need to buy 2 new Ethernet Pass-Through modules to patch up ports 3 & 4 of Mez Slot 2?
Im hoping they will map to ports 10 of bay's 5 & 6?
Thanks for your time in reading this post.
Regards

Re: Quad Port Nic Pass-Through.
It looks like you will have to populate Bay's 7 & 8 check out the pic. Ports 3 & 4 of mez two map out to 7 & 8.

Re: Quad Port Nic Pass-Through.
What about adding a dual port NIC card to Mez slot 3 of the server? Would that not map up to the bottom half ports of bays 5 & 6?
