question = i am new to blades

Hi,
i am looking on consolidating several machines / OSes into blade.
can you please tell me if it is possible to migrate to blade system (and into for example C7000) the following OSes:
- hpux 11
- hpux 11i
- hpux 11.23
- hpux 11.3x
- ovms 8.2
- ovms 7.3
- sco openserver 6
- sun- solaris 10 - sparc
- aix - ibm 5.3 - risc.
- linux - x64

i know this to be a long shot, but i need to present this to management...

thank you all,
./antonio/.

Re: question = i am new to blades

You can run hp-ux (11iv2 + v3), several windows and linux, openVMS on the Integrity blades BL860c and BL870c.

There are a lot of Proliant blades that supports many flovours of windows and linux and others.

Unlikely to run any aix on a hp blade ;-))

see

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: question = i am new to blades

hi Torsten,

thank you for your help.

just to make sure i got it:
using the blades i can put any hpux as long as it is IA64. those hpux that runs on pa-risc, like the hpux 11 and hpux 11.11 i cannot, is this correct ?

and the linux, as long as they are running on intel i believe it is okay to migrate to the blades.?

once again, thank you for hour help,
./antonio/.

Re: question = i am new to blades

Yes, blade are always Integrities (regarding hp-ux!), so you need 11.23 or 11.31.

Linux and windows will run on both types, Integrity and Proliant.

You will see all supported OS in the specs, like this:

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12926_div/12926_div.html

Try this:

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
