Refurbished or not

Hi,
Recently (Nov.2006) we have purchased a new HP Proliant Blade BL45P.
Ever since we got it, it newer worked as expected and constantly had a memory failures, raid problems etc.
We suspect we got a refurbished server even we have payed for a new one.

Serial: USM641V001
Product ID: 399604R-B21

Can someone please confirm what we got.
Server still doesn't work after a 4 months of testing.

Hi,

Yes. You appear to have a remarketed server.

If you look at this site:

http://h30248.www3.hp.com/renew/pricing/index.asp?type=1

you'll see that product ID listed on there.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd guess that the R in the Product ID indicates that the server is remarketed.
