Restore flex-10 module
Whilst trying to update the firmware on some Enet modules, using vcutil 1.4.0, the process failed after about 30 minutes.
Here is the setup
Originally:
Bay 1 - VC Enet 1/10Gb - v1.15
Bay 2 - VC Enet 1/10Gb - v1.15
Bay 5 - VC Flex-10 Enet - v2.0
Bay 6 - VC Felx-10 Enet - v2.0
Now:
Bay 1 - VC Enet 1/10Gb - v2.1
Bay 2 - VC Enet 1/10Gb - v2.1
Bay 5 - VC Flex-10 Enet - v2.1
Bay 6 - VC Felx-10 Enet - v2.0
Regarding the module in Bay 6:
1. The OA console reports it's firmware under "rack firmware"
2. The OA console reports internal ethernet route to OA and "enabled"
3. The VC manager console reports overall: "no communication" and OA comm status: "failed"
4. vcutil reports "ERROR: failed to check for previous firmware updates" at 76%
5. CONNECT INTERCONNECT 6 fails
I can't find any documents on the module and a factory reset switch etc. What is the DIP switch?
any help is greatly appreciated...
with thanks

Re: Restore flex-10 module
FIXED - I think (hope!)
Yanking the module from the enclosure to try and find the system maintenance DIP switch fixed the problem. The module came back up and all management interfaces report
v2.1 on the flex-10 module in Bay 6.
Great - I don't like making bricks out of expensive customer equipment!
Regards
Rob
