Shut down a blade bay completely?
Edvard had a question:
***************
Can I shut down a blade bay completly (virtually removing the power) from a bay in a c7000 chassi remotely. Instead of just shut down the blade?
************
Steve replied:
****************
You can't perminantly shut down a bay. You can do a reset server # which will tempoarily reset the server, similar to removing and re-inserting the server.
****************
Any other info for Edvard?

Re: Shut down a blade bay completely?
I do not think power to the bay itself can be cut out, it is just the server that can be powered off but not the bay

Re: Shut down a blade bay completely?
As said above, the "reset server" command powers the slot off for a moment, so the server itself and the ilo get a reset/power cycle.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
