Virtual Connect FC - Intermittent Fabric Logins

I have 2x C7000 chassis with VC-FC modules connecting to Brocade Silkworm 4100 FC Switches (HP SAN Switch 4/32B)

I am experiencing some intermittent fabric login issues, i.e Some times the servers will login to the fabric and be able to access LUNS then after a reboot they will refuse to login to the fabric. Currently I am running VC Firmware 1.24 and Fabric OS 5.2.2.

I upgraded the VC Firmware to 1.31 on one of the chassis, blades in this chassis now won't login to the fabric at all.

The next step I am going to take is to upgrade the Brocades to Fab OS 6.0.0b, but I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced these issues or has any ideas for me?

Does the ports in Brocade say NPIV for the VC-FC ports ? They should...

Also now when You have the 1.31 fw in VC, configure the SAN definition to use dynamic load balancing

Virtual Connect now supports dynamic load balancing of NPIV logins.

Thanks for the reply, it ended up being the HBA firmware on the QLogic HBA's. With VC Firmware 1.24 I had intermittent logins but with VC 1.31 I had nothing at all until I installed the firmware for the QLogic on the Firmware CD 8.20.

My Current working configuration is:

VC Firmware 1.31
OA Firmware 2.25
QLogic Firmware from Firmware CD 8.20
Fabric OS 5.3.1
