Virtual Connect Manager not seeing BL2x220c's

I have a C7000 chassis and 2 2x220c blades, 2 x HP 1/10Gb VC-Enet Module in interconnect bays 1 and 2. When I run Virtual Connect Manager I see and can configure the other blades (BL465c G1) but the Device Bays with the 2x220c show up as (covered). I am running VC firmware v2.00. Any hints or help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Virtual Connect Manager not seeing BL2x220c's

When you create a new domain, there is a Check box which says show Double-densed blades, you need to select it.

Once the domain is done, goto Domain Configuration and there is check box for regular blades Enable it, then VC will detect the BL465c.

If you have a domain already i don't think you can make the VC detect 2x220c blades.

That is kinda goofy but worked exactly how you said it would.

Thanks!

Re: Virtual Connect Manager not seeing BL2x220c's

This is for Raqhuarch,

Does this mean that if I am already running a VC domain with single density blades (mixture of Full and half-height, as well as Proliant and Itanium), I could not add any double-density blades?

If I wanted to add double-density blades, would I need a dedicated enclosure?

Dave.

Re: Virtual Connect Manager not seeing BL2x220c's

I had to power all my blades off, delete the domain, create a new one following the instructions above and I was good to go.

Assuming you can take some downtime (took me about 10 minutes) you are fine.
