VirtualConnect Fibre Channel - 0Gb

VirtualConnect Fibre Channel - 0Gb

Any idea why when I connect an uplink from my VC-FC to a port on a Brocade 4100 I see 0Gb as the Status in VCM? The Fiber switch shows the correct auto-negotiated speed and the WWN but the VC-FC does not seem to recognize the auto-negotiation. This only happens on a specific Fiber switch as well.

Hi,
Do You have NPIV support in your san switch?

Yes and it is enabled. The SAN switches are Brocade 4100's, 2 of them connected via an ISL link.

I've seen this problem before and have resolved it by rebooting the Brocade SAN Switch.

Is the switch running at least FOS 5.1.0d?
