VLAN settings on HP BLc GbE2c LY 2/3 Switch
Hello,
I have 438030-B21 HP BLc GbE2c LY 2/3 Switch where I am trying to setup simple port based VLAN (tagged and untagged) but it is unclear per documentation. Per documentation default VLAN per port is actually untagged port VLAN and rest of setup is for tagged VLANs. However, if we put port in few VLANs, it is changing default VLAN. Anybody with experience with this switch ?

Re: VLAN settings on HP BLc GbE2c LY 2/3 Switch
By default, a port can belong to one VLAN only, therefore the PVID or default vlan for the port will change when you move it to another VLAN, to make the port member of more than one vlan, you need to enable tagging on port basis first:
cfg/port x/tag/e
After that, you add the port to multiple vlans and keep the same PVID.

Yes, this is what I did but as soon as I add port to some other VLAN, then default VLAN in switch-port configuration changes to this. Is this expected behavior ?

It happens if the port is not tagged, check the attached file, I just did it and works fine, PVID still 1.
