347 The cache for Smart Array P700m in Slot 2 is not configured.
Hi, Everyone.
I need help. I'll appreciate any advice.
I have HP ProLiant BL460c G6 with Smart Array P700m Mezzanine Card.
It's communicating with HP 6Gb SAS BL Switch installed in Interconnect Bay 5 of the HP BladeSystem Enclosure C7000.
External Seagate Ultrium-HH6 Tape Drive is connected to the Port1 of the Switch.
Symantec Backup Exec Job starts to wright to the Tape and fails after small amount of data written.
HP Array Configuration Utility shows me alert:
347 The cache for Smart Array P700m in Slot 2 is not configured.
Please advise, how I could configure the cash for Smart Array P700m ?
Hopefully it will resolve my problem with backup to tape.

Re: 347 The cache for Smart Array P700m in Slot 2 is not configured.
Hi Gary,
For the smart array controller attached to the tape drive, the cache cannot be configured.
It us usual to see the error message "cache is not configured" either in IML or during POST that the cache is not configured for the controller when it is connected to the tape drive or library.
This will not cause any issues to the backup.
Regards,
KK
