Error: Power loss due to overheating. Attempting to restore power. Server: hp bl465c G5
I have faced a problem in HP BL465c G5 server. Here error shown in iLO2 ; Power loss due to overheating. Attempting to restore power.
I have tried to power on server from OA but after few seconds it goes power off again.
I have also interchange the bay position.
I have interchange processor with another running processor and also system board with running systemboard. But same error shown and server BIOS is not boot UP. I have updated iLO2 version to 2.33 Mar 20 2018.
ROM Version A13 05/02/2011
Still Issue is not solved.
Please need assistance from expert for urgent solution.

Re: Error: Power loss due to overheating. Attempting to restore power. Server: hp bl465c G5
Im not an "HPE Expert" but have you removed and fully cleaned the proc(s) and the cooler(s) with rubbing alcohol and replacing the old thermal grease with fresh new grease? That's there I would start due to the age the server, that stuff gets old and crusty and creates a useless contact patch between the proc and cooler - which in turn allows the proc to overheat and shut down the entire system.
