SY 480 Gen10 compute module move to another frame with attached SAS drives
Dear community,
I have to move 40 computes SY 480 Gen10 modules to another brand new configured Synergy, one by one.
The problem I have is that all of them have attached SAS drives (2 to 4 drives), through a storage module D3940, they do not run any local drives.
Does somebody already proceed to that kind of move ?
Many thanks,
Jujux

Re: SY 480 Gen10 compute module move to another frame with attached SAS drives
Hi ,
Just wondering if the computes doesnt have local drives and if its moved one by one, when exctly is D3940 planned to be moved? Later after all 40x computes moved?
So where does these computes boot from?
And what exactly is the concern in this movement? Data on D3940??
Thanks and Regards.

Re: SY 480 Gen10 compute module move to another frame with attached SAS drives
What exactly is the question?
However, remove the profile from the compute modules before removing them.
Everything else you will define in the new profile in the new frame.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
