Connecting FlexFabric 10/24-ports module into SAN
Hello everyone!
I have C7000 with two FlexFabric 10/24-ports modules and 3PAR StoreServ 7200 connected to it.
Also, I'd built SAN with HPE SN300B as principal (SAN-core) and some C7000's with Brocade SAN-switch 28/16c as subordinates. It has aliases and zoning, blade-servers and 3PARs see each other that are in zones.
I need to connect FlexFabric 10/24 into my SAN, but I have troubles, such as:
1. How to create zones at FlexFabrics?
2. SAN-core see FlexFabric's WWN as a storage (starts with 20 and 21), I added this wwn as alias into a zone (also manually added blade-server's wwn's), but 3PAR in this zone can't see blades as unassigned wwn's or something.

Re: Connecting FlexFabric 10/24-ports module into SAN
Hi
You don't need to add the WWN of the FlexFabric in to the zone set. On the ports where the FlexFabric are plugged in to the SAN Switch you should see the WWN of the FlexFabric as well as the WWN of the blade HBA assuming NPIV is enabled on the switch port.
Can you see the HBA WWN on the SAN Switch Port?

Re: Connecting FlexFabric 10/24-ports module into SAN
Output of the "portshow" command (about port on Brocade principal) for port that FlexFabric connected to, has no WWNs except WWN of FlexFabric's port.

Re: Connecting FlexFabric 10/24-ports module into SAN
So this will be why the 3PAR can't see the WWNs.
I assume the blades are up and have an OS installed?
How are you configuring the Flex Fabrics? Are you using OneView

Re: Connecting FlexFabric 10/24-ports module into SAN
Assuming it's a new enclosure then I'd look to use OneView
Maybe take a look at https://psnow.ext.hpe.com/doc/a00081895en_us and see if this fits what you need

Re: Connecting FlexFabric 10/24-ports module into SAN
There's no useful information about topic and there's no sence to install oneview.
Seems like there's no men who really connected this ancient flexfabric into brocade SAN, at least once.
