How to remove VC-FC from VC Domain and VC Domain Group
Tobias had a customer question:
*******************
Hi,
One of my customers is using VC FlexFabric (Bay 1+2) in combination with VC Fibre Channel (Bay 3+4) and VCEM. Now he wants to remove VC-FC without losing MACs and WWNs (FCOE) in the existing profiles. The WWNs for FC Connections can be lost.
If you just remove the FC connections ports in the server profiles and then physically remove the VC-FC modules the domain will stay in degraded status.
How can we solve this??? (Without losing the server profiles)

Vincent responded:

Tobias,
Besides removing the FC connections in all the server profiles, you need to remove the fabrics defined on the VC-FC modules, then administratively remove the modules in the VCM GUI, then finally physically remove the modules and you should be all set.

Comments or other suggestions for Tobias??
