Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) Advertisement missing in VC 4.0.1?

Dan was looking to solve a customer issue:

Recently upgraded one of our Enclosure FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module 3.30 to 4.0.1. I discovered that the LLDP advertise is gone from the 4.0.1? I checked the LLDP from our Cisco switch before the upgrade and the advertisement worked before.

The output from the VC 4.0.1 shows:

Total entries displayed: 0

If I look at our VC 3.30 switch port, the lldp shows me correct data.

Is LLDP advertisement disabled by default on 4.0.1? I can't seem to find any settings for the LLDP in the VC.

No we don’t disable or allow it to be disabled.

Maybe this Cisco has an issue with DCBx extensions.

The only thing new in LLDP with VC 4.01 in regards to Flex-Fabric would be DCBx with the introduction of Dual-Hop.

That’s the direction I would go.
